RESURRECTIONAL ECCLESIOLOGY

The church is not a holding tank for the saved; it is a foretaste of God’s coming new creation. Therefore the church is called to embody in its current Spirit filled existence the marks of the future Kingdom. This is to be reflected in our practices, our community, our diversity, our worship, our forms of leadership, the way we treat the poor and the other amongst us. Don Coleman and Corey Widmer have worked together as co-pastors for 8 years in inner city Richmond helping to pastor and foster this kind of resurrectional community in the congregation of East End Fellowship. This workshop will share from their experience and cast vision for a future-oriented ecclesiology in other missionary contexts.
