How can pastors and religious leaders help their communities find meaning and purpose? Pastors, organizational leaders, educators, family, and friends must all perceive their calling to create new stories and new conditions of thriving for those most marginalized. This workshop will look at a new model for vocational discernment and how to “close the purpose gap” for those communities and people most on the margins.

Dr. Reyes is the author of two books on Christian vocation – The Purpose Gap and Nobody Cries When We Die – and has supported more than 1000 religious leaders and scholars of color in their vocational discernment through his work at the Forum for Theological Exploration.
