As the CEO of the Christian Community Development Association and a the Senior Pastor of a church in one of America’s most progressive and secular cities, Noel Castellanos and Fred Harrell are on the “front lines” of God’s mission in an related to urban contexts. In this workshops, out of their considerable seasoned wisdom, they share theological and pastoral insights that they have gleaned along the way. In particular, they seek to offer a vision for urban mission and ministry that takes shape around the ways of Jesus.

Workshop Description:
Microcosms of the world, urban centers bring the worlds greatest points of brokenness as well as its greatest points of beauty front and center. Cities play a major role throughout Scripture and our great expectation is in the renewal of all things in the City of God. But city-based ministry that is faithful and fruitful in the way of Jesus can be a complicated and daunting calling. This workshop will explore the nature and shape of ministry in urban contexts from biblical, personal, and pastoral perspectives.
